Tidbits of Knowledge

Wearing a head scarf and cowgirl boots today.  I kind of like it....a lot.
This past week I went home for Easter.  While there, I picked up my EFY handbook and started planning my annual summer camp!

For EFY, I have been getting together a few things that will make everything go easier.  One great thing I found last year was Warm Fuzzies.  It's just a little piece of colored paper that you write something you noticed about someone else in the group.  Every night before we went to bed we would read them.  I'm excited to use them for this year because one of the devotionals is Charity.  I can tie them in with the pure love of Christ easy peasy.

I have been thinking a lot about why the Warm Fuzzies work so well.  Some weeks I didn't emphasize them as much and the group seemed more distant.  When they were more vital to our group, girls grew closer because they had no idea who wrote the warm fuzzy.  This means it could be any of the girls, dissolving any cliques at that moment.  It got them to notice and think about each other, and as the week went on the warm fuzzies became more specific.
Look at this love!!

I also learned that stickers are the best currency in EFY world.  You can use them to your advantage.  For example, the last week I figured out if I split my girls into teams with different stickers.  They were in charge of getting their team to me on time in the mornings.   Also they were just fun to give out at all times.  I will be taking a weekly trip to Wal-Mart for stickers yes sirree.
